The Dutch defence minister has became the second cabinet member to resign over the Afghan evacuation debacle.
Ank Bijleveld resigned on Friday, following the foreign minister, Sigrid Kaag, out of the door after parliament formally censured them over a crisis that has left dozens of interpreters stranded in Afghanistan.
UNITED NATIONS, September 12. /TASS/. Afghanistan will be represented by Ghulam Isaczai, the current ambassador to the United Nations, at the upcoming high-level week at the UN General Assembly which will be held on September 21-27, a UN source told TASS on Saturday.
The cabinet “appears primarily designed to prevent internal fractures within the movement, after weeks of heated internal discussions about power sharing” according to Haroun Rahimi, a law professor at the American University of Afghanistan.
