The 78th Venice International Film Festival announced a panel discussion on September 4th about the crisis in Afghanistan with special attention to the situation of Afghan filmmakers and artists.
The panel will take place on Saturday 4 September, 3 pm, at the Palazzo del Casinò.
Participants include Sahraa Karimi (Afghan filmmaker), Sahra Mani (Afghan documentary filmmaker), Vanja Kaludjercic (Artistic Director of the Rotterdam International Film Festival), Orwa Nyrabia (Artistic Director of the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam), Mike Downey (President of the European Film Academy) and Matthijs Wouter Knol (Executive Director of the European Film Academy). The panel will be hosted by journalist Giuliano Battiston
